          What is a Christian?

If a Christian is a follower of Christ, do you still consider yourself a Christian?

Jesus says, Follow me and I will make you a fisher of men. Matthew 4:19

Jesus says, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15

Jesus says, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed. John 8:31

Jesus says, If you abide in me then you will bare much fruit. John 15:5

Jesus says, Why call me Lord, Lord and do not the things that I say? Luke 6:46

Jesus says, He that has my commandments and keeps them is the one that loves me. John 14:21

Jesus says, He that doesnít keep my word doesnít Love me. John 14:24

Jesus says, Any branch that doesnít bare fruit will be taken away. John 15:2

Jesus says, If we donít abide in Him we will cast forth as a branch into the fire. John 15:6

Jesus says, Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and the Pharisees, you shall in no case enter into the Kingdom of heaven. (they went to church a lot) Matthew 5:20

Jesus says, I wish that you were either hot or cold, but because you are luke warm, I will spue you out of my mouth. Revelation 3:16

Jesus says, Behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give every man according to his works shall be. Revelations 22:12

Hereís the question. If Jesus came back today, and judged you for the works that you are doing for the kingdom, how would you fare? Are you baring fruit for the kingdom? Are you proclaiming the gospel? How many times a day, a week, a year, do you share your faith? Do you share your faith at all?

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

You are being prepared every week for the work of the ministry, when will you start?

2 Corinthians 13: 5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

James 1: 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the  work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Thereís not much more that I can say, the scripture says it all. Just examine yourself and see where you stand. A late start is better than no start. Jesus is calling, are you ready?
